Haridwar – Ukhimath – Auli - Chopta – Joshimath Tour
Day 1 : Haridwar to Ukhimath ( 203 Km )
Proceed to Ukhimath. Ukhimath is a pilgrimage site in Rudraprayag district, Uttarakhand, India. During the winters, the idols from Kedarnath temple are brought to Ukhimath and worshiped there for six months. The wedding of Usha (Daughter of Vanasur) and Anirudh (Grandson of Lord Krishna) was solemnized here. By name of Usha this place was named as Ushamath, now known as Ukhimath. Night stay at Ukhimath.
Day 2 : Ukhimath – Chopta – Joshimath ( 200 Kms )
After Check-out, Proceed to Chopta (60 kms drive), Chopta is popularly known as ‘Mini Switzerland’ in India. Chopta, is an amazing natural beauty destination lying in the laps of Uttarakhand Himalayas offers scenic views of the imposing Himalayan range including Trishul, Nanda Devi and Chaukhamba. Proceed from Chopta to Joshimath (140 Kms drive). Night Stay at Joshimath.
Day 3 : Joshimath to Auli ( 15 kms )
Proceed from Joshimath to Auki by Cable Car or Road drive. Auli is famous for its 3 KM long skiing slope. Auli is located at a distance of 16 KM from Joshimath by Road. There are roads connecting Joshimath to Auli but best way to travel to Auli is by cable car. Auli is located at a height of 2750 meter is famous for Ski, many national and international competitions on winter sports like Ski are organized during Jan to March months when Auli gets covered by more than 6 feet of snow.
